NCSA
The National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign was, among other things, the place where the first popular graphic-based browser, the NCSA Mosaic, and the cross-platform NCSA Telnet were developed by, among others Marc Andreessen and Eric Lima. The Center was founded in 1986 as one of the five original National Science Foundation Supercomputer Centers.
