Mozilla
Also known as “Firefox, SeaMonkey, Camnio”
Mozilla is an evolving creature, but has always been associated with the browser developed by Netscape. Jamie Zawinski, one of the original Netscape programmers, is most closely with the name. Not only did he think of it (a riff of the idea Netscape was creating a Mosaic-killer: Mosaic + Godzilla = Mozilla), the name eventually was applied to evolved into an open-source browser project he led. Mozilla was also the term the Netscape browser used to identify itself to the server. As a result of Netscape>'s early popularity, Mozilla can still be found in the identification string of all the major browsers, including Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla itself.
