Glossary Definition

HTML

Hypertext mark-up language is the basic foundation used to build all Web pages. HTML 4.01 is the current recommendation, and was approved on December 18, 1997. HTML 5 is currently in development. Included in the specification is support for CSS, XML, and JavaScript/ECMA Script.
