Welcome to the alpha (i.e., only for the brave) version of the new saila.com. Bug reports welcome.

bot

It is generally a software program that passively — or actively — “learns” a user’s online behaviour (through algorithmic behaviour — if x then y, if y then z), then collects information of interest to that user. Often “lives” online. Abbreviated from robot or knowbot (from Vint Cerf and Bob Khan’s term knowledge robot, circa 1988). Also know as an agent or intelligent agent.
