Nielsen says patent; maybe CanCon rules are needed

Stupidest advice yet: Jakob Nielsen actually advocates that companies “patent usability innovations.” Great, just great.

Like a yo-yo goes Rogers. First the media company was affiliated with Yahoo (through a partnership with CANOE which the former owned at the time), then it joined with Excite to offer its high-speed Internet services, and now, eight years later, it’s back with Yahoo.The deal follows on the heels of its major competitor, Sympatico partnering with MSN.

U.S. companies providing content for Canadian distributors; maybe the Net isn’t so different from the traditional media after all.
