Peter Gzowski—one of Canada’s great broadcaster (and the man who completed my conversion to CBC radio)—is seriously ill. I don’t know how many classes I was late for in university because I was listening to his Morningside shows. It was through his gravelly voice, and later the network carrying it, that I began understanding what Canada is.
