A whole bunch of media stories caught my eye today.

Keeping with the Canadian tradition of disparaging anyone who gets too big, we get rid of one media baron, only to pillory another. (I’m just as guilty.)

Nevertheless, today’s acerbic column by the always grouchy Peter Worthington was all about how the Asper’s fired him. Another in the Globe explains why the media is so upset with CanWest Global’s decision to force its newspapers to carry editorials dictated from the head office.

For the flip-side of all these ethical arguments its worth reading two stories in The New York Times:
