Transcript of air traffic controller voice logs

Updated to point to a Bit Torrent of the audio and a third-party-hosted transcript. This is pending an appeal by the Information Commissioner to 2005 FC 384.

What follows is an annotation of the air traffic audio at Toronto Pearson International Airport from around 3:54 p.m. EDT – 4:03 p.m. EDT on August 2, 2005. During that period Air France Flight 358 went off the runway and burst into flames in a wooded ravine. All 309 passengers and crew survived, and only 43 were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The times are from two archived files that recorded the regular air traffic controller radio which are also found at LiveATC.net.

AFR358 is Air France, Flight 358; KLM691 is KLM, Flight 691; and ACA1105 is Air Canada, Flight 1105. All times are approximate, and based on the source file’s original start times.
